The Bachelors of Fashion Technology students from Dhruva College, 2022 and 2023 batches, embarked on an enriching educational trip to the Weavers Service Centre in Nampally. This initiative aimed to immerse students in the age-old traditions of handloom weaving and provide firsthand exposure to the intricacies of Indian textile heritage.
During the visit, students explored the vibrant world of handlooms, observing the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into creating intricate designs. The center’s experts demonstrated various techniques, including warp and weft preparation, dyeing, and pattern development, offering a comprehensive understanding of the weaving process.
