“Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations at Dhruva College”

Dhruva College of Design & Graduate Studies brought Krishna Janmashtami to life with a celebration that blended devotion, design and student energy. Our campus didn’t observe the festival, we turned it into an experience of color, culture and creativity.

1. We Transformed the Campus into a Spiritual Canvas

Our students decorated the campus with vibrant flower garlands, intricate rangolis and symbolic Krishna elements like the flute and peacock feathers. We placed a beautifully adorned cradle of Bal Gopal at the center, creating a sacred space that radiated festive joy.

2. We Took on the Dahi Handi Challenge

Our students geared up for one of the most exciting parts of the festival – the Dahi Handi. They formed human pyramids and worked together to break the hanging pot of curd and treats. With every attempt, the crowd roared in support, making the energy truly electrifying.

3. We Showcased Student Talent Through Cultural Performances

Students poured passion into their performances – Ras Leela dances, dramatic skits and devotional music set the stage on fire. These weren’t performances, they were expressions of art and reverence, a true testament to Dhruva College of Design & Graduate Studies creative spirit.

4. We Created with Our Hands

In our creative workshops, students design Krishna-themed crafts, painted matkis and made DIY decorations. These activities gave our budding designers a hands-on opportunity to express their festive enthusiasm.

5. We Learned as We Celebrated

We held a Krishna-themed quiz that tested students on his teachings, life events and the Bhagavad Gita. By blending fun with knowledge, we ensured everyone walked away with more than just memories.

6. We Shared Prasad with the Community

To end the day on a sweet note, we distributed traditional prasad – makhan-mishri, peda, kheer and more. Students and faculty came together in unity to share this divine meal, reinforcing the community spirit at Dhruva College of Design & Graduate Studies.

A Celebration Beyond Festivity

At Dhruva College of Design & Graduate Studies, Krishna Janmashtami isn’t a festival, it’s a reflection of our values. We honor tradition while empowering students to explore, express and elevate their creative identity.

Conclusion:

At Dhruva College of Design & Graduate Studies, we don’t mark festivals on the calendar, we live them, breathe them and design them into unforgettable experiences. This Krishna Janmashtami, our students transformed tradition into celebration, devotion into creativity and moments into lasting memories. By leading rituals, performing with passion and designing with purpose, they brought Lord Krishna’s spirit to life on campus. In every dance, decoration and dahi handi climb, they celebrated not only the festival, but their identity as creators, learners and leaders.
